Für herkömmliche Fiber Frontends stehen 6 Port 100Base-FX in Duplex-SC, Duplex-ST Ausführung zur Verfügung. Auch neuen Frontend Technologien, wie MT-RJ oder VF-45 wird der SWITCHline 16N gerecht.

The basic device is equipped with 2 slots, that can take up diverse 6 or 8 port modules. Furthermore, it's possible to install a separate single-port up-link module. The single port up-link modules are available in all of the common fiber front ends, but also available with 10/100base-TX connectors. All 6 or 8 port modules are available with copper or fiber optic technology. For conventional fiber front ends 6 port 100base-FX modules with duplex-SC or duplex-ST connectors are available. New front end technologies like MT-RJ or VF-45 are also supported by the SWITCHline16N.

With two conventional 8 x 10/100base-TX modules the device is expandable as a pure 16 port switch. This Store and Forward Switch functions in full duplex and is supplied with 2K MAC address memory. With a latency of less than 18ms for small packets and less than 30ms for large packets, as well as a 4 Mbit Backplane the device performance is of a very high standard. With functions like Port-based Trunking, VLAN and programmable data rate the SWITCHline16N offers everything expected of a modern Layer 2 Switch. Assembly material for installation into an 19" cabinet as well as a German/English manual are included in the delivery.
